ummm, this sounds like segregation. Everyone should come together for the fat community and stop blaming fucking race on EVERYTHING. I wish people (of ALL races, including WHITE) would just shut the fuck up and live in harmony with each other. I’m sick of all this racism on my dash, seriously.

Nope. Nope. Nope. 

Listen. It is absolutely essential that we discuss how different people have different experiences. If you want to have your body positivity and act like a fat white woman has the same exact experience as a fat WOC you are complicit in furthering racism that actively harms people. WoC have the ADDED burden of dealing with racism on top of fatphobia. 

Acting like just ignoring it and “living in harmony” is the answer is bullshit and a derail. If you are not actively working against racism, if you take this neutral, passive stance, you are on the side of the oppressors and you are actively being an oppressor by trying to silence WoC.

Just like feminism without intersectionality is worthless, fat acceptance/body positivity without intersectionality is worthless. The beauty standard already favors whiteness and the fact that the face of fat acceptance is overwhelmingly white just proves that this is another case of white women attempting to gain their own freedom from oppression by stepping on the backs of WoC.

And that is not a revolution. That is not progress. If your idea of change involves continued oppression of people who are less privileged than you then it’s not change at all. 

I need this all over my dash. Thank you.
